CEE ARE DEE REVIEWS PT.4: the classic trucker

In the fourth and final instalment of product reviews by Cee Are Dee’s Matt Wilson, he is taking a closer look at our take on the classic trucker jacket: the BDJ-05 TRUCKER JACKET. Matt will give a brief history lesson on the archetypes and classic styles that were the inspiration for this denim jacket.

FIT

The BDJ-05 TRUCKER JACKET has a slim cut, paying homage to vintage trucker style denim jackets. We’ve made the length a bit shorter compared to our other BDJ-styles, using five buttons at the front placket. Besides the two prominent chest pockets, the BDJ-05 features two hidden hand warmer pockets. The pocket bags function two extra inside pockets too, providing enough space to store your valuables securely.

FABRIC

The name of 15.5 oz. KOJIMA SELVEDGE derives from its place of inception. It's a traditional red cast Japanese denim woven at a low tension for extra comfort and breathability. This fabric has a high fading potential; over time the denim will mature into a bright blue hue with indigo nuances. The construction is slubby and uneven. This adds a subtle element of depth to the fabric and contributes to the unique evolution of the denim. It has been the first Japanese fabric ever used in our EUROPEAN MADE line.
