Ever since our first chinos were introduced many years ago, we’ve challenged ourselves to come up with a special fabric each season and release it in BC-01 TAPERED CHINO, as well as the more recent BC-03 STRAIGHT CHINO and BWS-03 MILITARY OVERSHIRT styles. During one of our sourcing trips, we stumbled upon a fabric with a special technique applied: brushed denim. Due to its warm and fuzzy nature, this turned out to be a perfect addition to the AW23 collection.
BRUSHED DENIM
FABRIC
As the name suggests, this 13.75 oz. denim looks like an ordinary fabric from the outside, but when you flip it over you can see it’s fully brushed on the inside. This gives the fabric a super soft touch and provides the same comfort and warmth as a flannel fabric. The garments have been pre-washed in the factory to get rid of all the starch, eliminating the break-in time.
FITS
BC-01 TAPERED CHINO is a sophisticated regular fit with roomy thighs and a slim profile. The taper from the knee down allows for the silhouette to maintain a slightly slimmer bottom hem for a contemporary casual look, and the curvature of the waistband offers additional comfort from the very first wear. The BC-01 is an overall clean-cut and durable pair of pants ready for everyday wearing.
The cut of BC-03 STRAIGHT CHINO is inspired by a classic 1940s straight silhouette. We’ve modernised the fit with a shaped top block. This brings the chino closer to a contemporary cut, still paying homage to its roots. Although the cut has a high rise, the BC-03 grants plenty of room throughout and allows for additional movement in the top block. It features the same details as our tapered counterpart, the BC-01.
BWS-03 MILITARY OVERSHIRT is a versatile shirt silhouette that can both function as shirt and jacket, depending on the season. This makes this overshirt perfect for layering. The design is simple yet utilitarian and takes inspiration from a 60s military shirt style. It features two large chest pockets with rectangular flaps and two handwarmer pockets. The cuff slits are finished with a continuous strip for durability, and the bottom is cut straight.
