It’s a wrap. Twelve months have passed, and I’ve worn my B-02 REGULAR STRAIGHT 14 oz. green cast selvedge for a full year, breaking it in from a crisp pair of raw selvedge denim into a heavily faded and incredibly comfortable pair of green cast jeans.

Over the past month, I’ve washed the jeans one more time, bringing down the overall indigo shade and making the colour slightly lighter compared to the previous update. I followed the BENZAK wash guide, making sure the jeans didn’t shrink or develop any unwanted creases.

For this final update, we’re also showing the entire fading process through six flat lay shots captured along the way. Together, they provide a clear overview of how the jeans have gradually transformed over twelve months of wear, with each wash accelerating the process.

Have I inspired you to do the same and wear a single pair of jeans for an entire year? Keep an eye out for the announcement of Indigo Invitational Year 6 through their website or Instagram account. I’d love to see as many BENZAK pairs as possible in next year’s competition!
