It’s been two months since I began breaking in the upcoming B-02 REGULAR STRAIGHT 14 oz. green cast selvedge, as part of the Indigo Invitational Year 5.

While the first month was all about laying the foundation for future fades, the second month is when things are really starting to take shape.

I’ve been wearing the jeans almost every day, and it shows. Sharp whiskers and defined honeycombs are becoming more pronounced, and that subtle green cast is beginning to reveal its true character. Especially when paired with a dark blue shirt, the unique tone of the green cast really stands out.

What I love about this kind of indigo dye is how it evolves over time; deepening in contrast with every wear, and later, with every wash. That said, I’m not planning to wash them any time soon. Most people aim for the six-month mark, but I usually try to push it closer to nine. Let’s see how far I can get without spilling a pint over myself at the pub. These jeans will be releasing later this month, so you can start your own fading journey soon.

I’ll be sharing an update every month to track how this pair transforms over time, so stay tuned for the next chapter. In the meantime, you can follow along on my personal account (@lennaertnijgh) as I continue putting this new fabric to the test.
