After one month of wear, it’s time for the first update on breaking in my B-02 REGULAR STRAIGHT 14 oz. greencast selvedge. The early stage is less about dramatic fades and more about laying the foundation; creases like whiskers and honeycombs that will gradually evolve into a unique wear pattern.

Some denim heads manage to achieve noticeable contrast within the first month, but my daily routine doesn’t allow for that level of wear just yet. Still, I’m pleased with the progress so far: the waistband has stretched slightly, the fit is beginning to mould to my frame, and the whiskers and honeycombs are already taking shape; subtle now, but promising.

I’ll be sharing an update every month to track how this pair transforms over time, so stay tuned for the next chapter. In the meantime, you can follow along on my personal account (@lennaertnijgh) as I continue putting this new fabric to the test.
