We’ve just released a brand-new fit in our chino range: the BC-05 LOOSE CHINO. As the name suggests, it’s a roomy chino style with an overall loose fit. Not only is the BC-05 our most relaxed-fitting chino to date, it’s even more spacious than the B-07 RELAXED STRAIGHT jeans, making it the most generously cut trouser style in our entire collection, period.

Chino cloth has its origins in the 19th century, when it was used for military uniforms. As the fabric itself was originally made in China, trousers made from it were known in Spanish as pantalones chinos (Chinese trousers), which was later shortened to chinos in English, giving the style its now-familiar name.

Our iteration of this fabric, which we labelled natural cotton chino cloth, is woven by Collect Mills in Japan. The yarns used to weave the 8.5 oz fabric are fine yet subtly slubby, giving it a gentle texture. The fabric is left in its undyed natural colour and constructed following a classic methodology: a lined waistband, felled outseams, and a small coin pocket beside the right-hand front pocket. Finally, it’s given a one-wash finish to ensure comfort from the very first wear.
