B-07 RELAXED STRAIGHT

We're launching the SS25 season with a brand-new fit: the B-07 RELAXED STRAIGHT.

This new fit is easy to describe—it’s essentially our B-04 cut with a wider leg. Both the B-04 and B-07 feature a tilted top block, which lowers the front rise and raises the back rise. This design creates a relaxed silhouette with plenty of room to move.

If you like the fit of the B-04 but want a wider leg, the B-07 is the perfect choice. It features a straight leg with a slightly wider hem opening than our B-02 REGULAR STRAIGHT, making it the most generously cut jean in our collection.

As with all our fits, the B-07 is available in our signature special #2 fabric, as well as a new 10 oz. antique indigo selvedge denim—a lightweight fabric ideal for the warmer days ahead.

10 oz. antique indigo selvedge

The 10 oz. antique indigo selvedge is a lightweight selvedge denim, woven by Collect Mills in Kojima, Japan. It draws inspiration from a workwear type of denim of yesteryear; the average weight of a 19th century denim fabric would usually not exceed 10 oz. and was considered heavy and strong enough for its purpose. Collect has also perfectly replicated the indigo shade to match fabric from this period. Because the denim has been woven on a wider shuttle loom, and to avoid too much fabric loss, the selvedge is only utilized on the front panels of the legs, creating the so-called ‘half-selvedge’ construction.

15 oz. vintage indigo selvedge (special #2)

We’ve dubbed our 15 oz. vintage indigo selvedge denim the ‘special #2’, as it’s the second proprietary BENZAK fabric to enter our main collection. The fabric is a 3x1 right hand twill construction, and the raw vintage indigo colour represents a shade of indigo used for denim during 1960s. We've developed the special #2 denim with thicker weft yarns than the warp yarns; usually this is the other way around. This gives the fabric an extra soft interior resulting in additional comfort from the get-go. The selvedge colours are ‘Azurri’ (blue) and ‘Oranje’ (orange). As well as being an aesthetic feature, the custom selvedge pays homage to both collaborating companies’ national sports colours, Italy & The Netherlands. It's also a nod towards the long-standing friendship between BENZAK and Candiani. This denim has been created exclusively for BENZAK by Candiani Denim in Robecchetto con Iduno, Italy, and is one of our core fabrics in the ‘European made’ line.
