Fit
B-02 REGULAR STRAIGHT is a regular fitting jean with a classic high rise and straight legs. It’s inspired by a 1940s straight-cut silhouette, with some adjustments enhancing the fit for modern day requirements, such as a shaped top block. This elevates the comfort level of B-02 REGULAR STRAIGHT, as it allows for plenty of room for movement, while ensuring a great fit.
B-02 REGULAR STRAIGHT is the European equivalent of the ‘made in Japan’ BDD-707 (with some differences).
Fabric
The name of 15.5 oz. Kojima selvedge derives from its place of creation, the rural town of Kojima, situated in the Okayama prefecture and known for its blossoming denim industry. It's a traditional red cast Japanese denim woven at a low tension for extra comfort and breathability. This fabric has a high fading potential; over time the denim will mature into a bright blue hue with indigo nuances. The construction is slubby and uneven. This adds a subtle element of depth to the fabric and contributes to the unique evolution of the denim. The fabric was introduced in 2017 as part of our first denim fading contest and was added to the core collection the year after. Woven by Collect Mills, it’s also the first Japanese fabric ever used in our ‘European made’ line. It may be considered as the Japanese counterpart of our 15.5 oz. RCI selvedge, which shows a handful of similarities but also enough differences to co-exist.
