Fit
BDD-711 is a regular fitting jean with a high rise or a dropped crotch (depending on your preferred way of styling), with roomy thighs and tapered legs. This is the most ideal fit for anyone looking for a bit more room in the top block, while maintaining a tapered silhouette down the legs, as the taper from the knee down allows for a slim bottom hem opening. When sized down, BDD-711 can be worn as a vintage cut with a high rise; but when sized up, BDD-711 can be worn relaxed on the hips with a dropped crotch.
BDD-711 is the Japanese equivalent of the ‘European made’ B-03 REGULAR TAPERED (with some differences).
Fabric
Low tension 14 oz. RHT is our first proprietary fabric woven in Japan, also known as ‘special #1’. Weighing in at a versatile 14 oz. this is a perfect mid-weight denim for all-year-round wear. The low tension weave gives the denim a slightly looser structure, which shows an uneven weaving pattern and subtle slubs in the yarns. The selvedge ID is yellow & green; this represents the first stages of indigo-dyeing before it becomes the distinctive dark blue colour indigo is known for. This denim has been created exclusively for BENZAK by Collect Mills in Kojima, Japan, in 2016, and is one of our two core fabrics in the ‘made in Japan’ line.
