Fit
The BDJ-T2 TYPE II JACKET is our take on the classic type II jacket. It has a boxy fit with a shorter length, just like its vintage inspiration. The flaps of the two chest pockets follow our signature horn shape. The BDJ-T2 also features the classic pleated front placket, which is finished with archetypal box stitching, paying further homage to its influential origins. We’ve modernised the style by adding two large inner pockets, providing some extra space to hold personal belongings.
Fabric
This fabric is part of our limited edition selvedge program. We’ve partnered up with Candiani Denim to create a series of exclusive pieces. The collection blends selvedge denim heritage and upcycling sustainability. We’ve used a selection of Candiani deadstock and surplus fabrics, to make six garments: a chino, two overshirts, a brand-new type II jacket in two fabrics, and a new iteration of our recent collab with Bonne Suits.
The 12.5 oz. mineral brown hemp selvedge is constructed from a blend of cotton and hemp. The warp yarns made of 100% organic cotton and are dyed with a deeply fixed mineral earth colour. The undyed weft is where you can find the hemp, at around two-thirds of its composition, while for the remainder conventional cotton is used. The hemp contributes to an interesting uneven structure and tinted look on the inside.
