Fit
B-03 REGULAR TAPERED is a regular fitting jean with a high rise or a dropped crotch (depending on your preferred way of styling), with roomy thighs and tapered legs. It’s constructed with a curved waistband, creating a rounded top block for a comfortable fit that stays in place while avoiding unnecessary sagging. When sized down, it can be worn as a vintage cut with a high rise; but when sized up, it can be worn relaxed on the hips with a dropped crotch. B-03 REGULAR TAPERED is an ideal style for anyone looking for a fit with a bit more room, while maintaining a tapered silhouette down the legs.
B-03 REGULAR TAPERED is the European equivalent of the ‘made in Japan’ BDD-711 (with some differences).
Fabric
Instead of the usual white colour, the weft of our 13 oz. brown cotton selvedge denim is dyed brown. This gives the fabric a darker appearance on the outside, helping it fade with a higher contrast when the white core of the indigo-dyed warp becomes visible with wear and wash. Additionally, when the fabric wears down to expose the weft on the outside (for example, when a small hole is developing), the brown becomes visible, helping it create a so-called ‘dirt effect’ and giving it an extra vintage touch. 13 oz. brown cotton selvedge is woven by Candiani Denim in Robecchetto con Iduno, Italy, and is one of our core fabrics in the ‘European made’ line.
