After nine months of wear and one home laundry, I’m now entering the final quarter of this one-year wear project as part of the Indigo Invitational Year 5.

My B-02 REGULAR STRAIGHT 14 oz. green cast selvedge had its first wash around six weeks ago and, as expected, the fading has really started to accelerate. The creases are now fully set and no longer disappear after washing. The jeans have moulded to my body over months of daily wear, following every movement and gradually becoming a true second skin.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve spent a lot of time renovating and moving into a new house while wearing them. Activities like these are perfect for creating strong contrast and adding character, and the results are starting to show. That said, they’re getting close to needing a second wash.

While shooting our latest collection in the studio, I took the opportunity to photograph them under ideal lighting conditions, paired with an upcoming release: our 5 oz. double indigo chambray holiday shirt.

I’ll be sharing an update every month to track how this pair transforms over time, so stay tuned for the next chapter. In the meantime, you can follow along on my personal account (@lennaertnijgh) as I continue putting this new fabric to the test.
