While stonewashing has long been part of denim history, often used to imitate years of wear, that was never the goal here. This wash was developed from a different perspective: not to make a pair of jeans look pre-worn, but to offer a lighter indigo shade that sits outside our usual darker denim palette.
Dyed by Candiani using Indigo Juice® technology, the warp yarns retain much of the indigo on the surface while leaving a large part of the core untouched. This allows the white core to reveal itself more easily through wear, meaning the jeans will continue to fade and develop character over time. It also allows us to shorten the industrial washing process, reducing its environmental impact.
